Bitcoin: Banking Without Permission – Falcon Global CapitalThe promise that Bitcoin holds is becoming more and more apparent as time goes on and it is quickly gaining momentum and followers. One of the key issues I have witnessed when discussing Bitcoin is the question: What’s in it for me? Many people reading the news and media frenzy following Bitcoin have a hard time relating the use of Bitcoin to their everyday needs. They don’t buy drugs. They don’t need to order an assassination. They don’t have millions of dollars in illicitly earned profits to launder. They have no cousins in faraway countries that they need to wire money to. While this is how the majority of media portraits the use of Bitcoin, it can be so much more and could have a direct impact on an average person living a typical life and sending regular payments. So how can Bitcoin benefit one’s everyday life? Here are a few (of many) key differences comparing Bitcoin to a normal Bank:1. Bitcoin does not close on federal holidays2. Bitcoin does not have business hours3. You do not need to wait for the next business day for your wire to arrive4. You do not need go to your bank in order to send a transfer5. There is no line you must wait in to access your money6. No third party will question your transfer7. No more wire fees, sending Bitcoin is practically freeWe are living in an exciting time but also a desperate time. The current system, does not work. This has been proven time and time again, yet we keep trying the same thing repeatedly. “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ”Instead of bashing our heads against the wall trying to fix something that has long proven to be unfixable – why not take on a new approach and try something different? I invite you to open your eyes and see the potential that Bitcoin holds. Do not let the media’s opinion of a deep dark criminal underworld influence your thoughts on bitcoin. This is truly an exciting revolution with the ability to impact and connect people across the world. It is a revolution and I invite you take take part. Brett Stapper
