Taking Charge | BitcoinSachsIn the last three months, I’ve become increasinglyВ blasГ© toward Bitcoin. В It has had little to do with my faith in the protocol or the tangibility of the coin adoption. В It is specifically theВ pernicious nature of the community that has worn me thin. В It reminds me of the famous quote from Albert Einstein, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ”United States government holds a hearing and/or releases a statement or guideline. В People of crypto panic en masse. В Chinese government allegedly bans Bitcoin. В People of crypto panic en masse. В Rinse, add fabric softner, and repeat. В It’s exhausting to watch. В Sure, В there is a wonderful opportunity to make money on the temporary price dip. В I suspect for those of us not moved by the rhetoric we can make some easy money, but at what expense? В In order for this type of profit, it requires a lot of people to lose a lot of money. В They say for every angry customer you lose, you can multiply that times 3,000 that will hear about it via Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. В That’s bad business. В We are lining our pockets with the knife that is slicing our own greedy throats. В True enough, we aren’t the ones publishing these documents, but we are the one’s RT and sharing them on Reddit. В We are the ones encouraging panic and chaos for our own profit. В I realize I always come off as the hardass touting morals and ethics. В Putting that aside for a second, is this model sustainable? В Is this model how we change the world or is this eerily similar to the exact system that got our global economy to the shape it is currently at? В I am not saying we all need to hold hands and walk with Jesus, but I am saying that we’re allowing greed kill us. Much of the problems we are having today stem from the Bitcoin Foundation. В What frustrates me most is that both Mark Karpeles and Charlie Shrem are both brilliant in their own right. В It’s frustrating that no one in the Foundation was able to either determine they were up to no good or if they knew had the courage to speak out. В I don’t think we’ll ever know the truth. Until this situation is resolved in the courts, and new elections at the Foundation, this wound is going to be very sore and slow to close. As many of you have noticed, I’ve been talking a lot about Zetacoin. В I will also be talking a lot about SimplyCrypto and my blog. В I will make an effort to spotlight other blogs and businesses around the crypto space I have confidence in. В I have no real interest in discussing Bitcoin’s latest turmoil as it’s useless recycled rhetoric. В When we finally turn that page, I’ll return to discussing it. Zetacoin has been quite the rollercoaster ride. В I had a vision, to build a community of strong loyal people who would work together to build infrastructure, products and services with long-term goals in mind for real world adoption. В The problem is we operate in a hyper instant gratification world which basically left me to be badgered 30 times a day because we were doing this thing called work. В We never became deterred or inpatient with our progress. В We rallied around certain ideologies. В You hype and market when there is something to hype and market. В You don’t just keep saying “BUY THIS COIN! ” “TO DA MOON”В ad nauseum. В For us, we wanted to have something tangible before we started to get vocal. В Some people say, “so what? other coins have an app. ” В Well, that’s true. В I use the example that to a child a stick is a toy and to a trained martial artist it is a deadly weapon. В For Zetacoin, we have been nurturing business relationships around the globe. В The app represents their ability to accept Zetacoin in the real world. I will continue to deliver my message about Zetacoin’s real world use because I believe it has the potential to become the real currency we end up using. В It’s fast enough, it has the transaction per minute strength, coin quantity with a price that will make sense. В Bitcoin is too expensive and too slow to ever be a good currency. В It’s basically trying to pay with a sliver of gold. В The best way I can explain it is that Zetacoin is like the USD and Bitcoin is like the Gold that backs it. В Bitcoin is a fantastic commodity with it’s low total number of coins in it’s deflationary setup. В Wall Street is going to lose it’s mind trading it, but the world will lose it’s mind spending Zetacoin. В It’s not that I view these two as competitors so much as big brother & little brother with their own specific uses. I will also be talking increasingly more about my company SimplyCrypto. com В I say, my company, but there are other owners who are pretty amazing. В I love our team, I love our concept, and I cannot wait to get to the market with it. В As we get closer to different milestones I’ll be talking more, sharing screenshots and various details with you all. В It’s tremendously difficult to not share more, but that’s part of doing business. В First 250 signups will get beta access which will likely come with some other perks. Finally, my blog. В I will be talking more about my blog. В When I have a lot to say, I will be putting it here. В I will not be blowing up your twitter feeds anymore. В I will not be fighting trolls on Twitter. В It’s senseless and only serves to take me off my message and give them a platform to spew nastiness. В This blog has 30,000 subscribers in about 5 months. В That’s pretty amazing I think. В If I have something controversial to say, I will try to do it here so I can explain myself in more than 140 characters. В I will be attempting to write 1 bitcoin specific article a month moving forward or perhaps a week wrap-up simplifying all the news into a few paragraphs. В I’ll have to think more about it. В The time has come for serious people to assert themselves and push good products, projects, blogs, businesses, ideas, concepts and support each other. For the record, I am still holding all my Zetacoins. В I have no interest in selling them, I want to spend them!
