My Crypto history | BitcoinSachs
My Crypto history | BitcoinSachsThere are a lot of new people into crypto, and in the last few months I’ve picked up the majority of my followers. В This is a good time to put a timeline of my crypto activity. I first stumbled across Bitcoin in late 2011. В I wasn’t convinced on this magic internet money until the first couple months of 2012. В I watched and read about it off and on throughout the year with minimal hands-on activity. В During the early days of 2013 I befriended a guy who went by the handle ThePhysicist on the MtGox chat. В Him and I became very close friends and we started to explore mainstream media reporting, perception of Bitcoin, and we toyed with the idea of creating a news site for crypto. We wanted to see what the mainstream media knew about Bitcoin, if anything, so I penned the ridiculous Zimbabwe adopts Bitcoin article for CNN which gained 34,000 views and was posted all over the place. В No one at CNN knew enough about Bitcoin to make an intelligent statement. В After that, we worked on a few small ventures together. He is probably the smartest person I’ve ever spoken to. В He decided he was out of Bitcoin after the April collapse, as he wanted me to come work with him on a non-crypto venture in SoCal. В I wanted to continue my path into crypto so we went out separate ways. Shortly after that, I wrote an article for CNN which I accidentally submitted instead of saved as a draft which caused a minor ripple across the cryptosphere in early May of 2014. В (http://www. thebitcoinchannel. com/archives/4929)В  My article was talking about how Mt. Gox was going to be raided by the authorities. В I was made aware of a few things which brought me to the outcome, but I was working to tie down the details of the story, who would raid, when exactly it would be. В About three months later, the DOJ raided Mt. Gox as predicted (http://gigaom. com/2013/08/19/feds-seized-2-9m-in-bitcoin-funds-from-mt-gox-court-docs-show/)August 31st 2013 I posted this tweet (see image below) as I was working on a new story. В I was being told about a new raid coming up. В As I was getting more details, it became apparent that it was going to be the Feds shutting down the Silk Road. В I tweeted a few days later that I was not going to reveal any further details as I didn’t want to give anyone advanced warning it was imminent. В In the first day or two of October Ross Ulbricht was arrested and the Silk Road was ceased. В Now I was attacked because I wasn’t specific enough. В That’s fair. В I was told in order to get the credit for predicting things, I had to be more specific. В In November I was telling people Mt. Gox was going to collapse in either late January or early February. В Well, I did nail that one, didn’t I? В “everyone knew it was coming! ” and then you have the talking heads who were cheerleading Gox literally until the day before it’s death saying it was solvent. Immediately after it’s death claiming they were glad they died and they called it. https://pbs. twimg. com/media/BjmaSgfIUAAd3Ov. jpgWhat I find pretty funny. В Certain people also like to talk about how I’ve “ruined Zetacoin” and “because of you, Zetacoin is dying! ” В which is kind of funny. В I first wrote about Zetacoin and bought my hoard of Zetacoins on October 8th 2013 for 330 satoshis. В Today, despite all the downturn across all of crypto, and Zetacoin hovering at a very low level it’s still hovering right around 1,000 satoshis. В In my killing of Zetacoin, it’s only upВ 293. 30% from where I started it. В Yep. I’ve killed it. В In 6 months, I have created a sustained increase at almost 300%. В If I was running any business traded on Wall Street I’d have finished only next to Netflix which was the belle of the ball with their 500% increase last year. В I am unsuccessful and I should quit Zetacoin, right? В Perspective is funny, isn’t it? Now I point at various other coins that people start touting as the “next big thing” in crypto and say “that’s a pump and dump scam” and I am told I am an idiot and I hate innovation or competition. В Then of course it is in fact a scam, and when I have the audacity to stick my head out and remind people I was 100% on the money, I am told I am a jerk and everyone totally called it. It’s all very interesting. В Some people will point at Zetacoin and say, “but look at your max price! You’ve fallen so far from the peak! ” В Well, that was an artificial number created by pumpers who hijacked the coin. В That’s never been of dispute. В If you got caught holding the bag during that pump, that’s not my fault. В That’s your own. В I believe Zetacoin will continue to see steady growth and by end of 2014, buying Zetacoin for $0. 10 will have been a good purchase. В There is a reason I play the long game. В I am not seeking a 10x return this week. В I don’t care if it takes 3-6 months to get my return. В Hell, it might take another year or two. В I am not going anywhere. В Ask yourself how many coins have people who have been consistently correct, consistently with the same message who has sustained increase of hundreds of percents В for 4 months or longer and still stays the course? В Interesting list. I do hate that the price is down. В I know not everyone bought when I did. В In fairness, I did advice buying into it when I bought in. В Few people listened to me. В That’s not my fault. В We are getting ready to start making our move into Real Life, real world marketing, real work use with real world applications. В People forget a lot of my mantra from the early days. В I wanted to build sustained value. В I want to give investors a coin they can invest into. В Sustainable value does that. В Up 300% this year, up 300% next year, etc. В You do that with infrastructure, products and services. В It took Bitcoin 5 years to get to this point. В I am hoping Zetacoin can get there in warp time in 2-3 years. I stay the course. В I know what I am trying to do. I know why I am trying to do it. В We are stronger at Zetacoin than at any point in our history. В Our community is louder, more active, smarter, hungrier, and we’re getting ready to make some noise. В I love that I do not have to be the only catalyst driving it these days. В We have dozens of people working their butts off. В I am tremendously proud of where we are and what we’ve accomplished. В When we got started, no coin built a community off of reddit or BitcoinTalk. В We broke that mold in a way using NoBS. is. I am now co-owner and founder of a crypto startup. В I am working with brilliant people which is always fun. We are building an exchange, we’ve already raised money from an angel investor. В Life is very good despite all the murky water around us. В I am starting to get steady interview requests which is very humbling. В It’s been a surreal ride. В I am very blessed to be here doing all of this with you. A while back I started both the Women’s Equality Think Tank which I am seeing those concepts and awareness is spreading over the cryptosphere. В I created CCWG (Cryptocurrency Working Group) to be a United Nations of coins but never really put the time into it but now Coin Summit is created and I am really hoping they succeed where I failed. В It’s a very important aspect that must not be overlooked. I am not saying I am the Oracle. В My predictions are based in credible information from close sources. В When I start talking about something or making crazy predictions, it’s not typically that crazy as I typically have pretty good information I am basing it off of. В Unless of course it’s a blog most called “I’m making crazy predictions” than it’s just crazy predictions. В Either way, my track record speaks for itself. В I’ve worked very hard to make the community better, bring awareness to issues that could hinder mass adoption, to build inclusive groups, and to create a sustainable and secure community and coin with a future instead of cutting everyone’s throat to make a few bucks. В I haven’t gotten rich off my crypto, but my reputation despite the constant assassination attempts speaks for itself. I was told to ignore attacks. В I was advised to, “be more like Jesus” and accept people for who they are and forgive them for all the attacks. В It’s probably the best advice I’ve been given. В It’s hard to not be the American who when attacked doesn’t come out dropping bombs. В I am banned from an IRC because I went in to stop character assassination of a close friend of mine. В Think about that. They banned me because I informed them they were being childish and pathetic for brutally attacking someone who did nothing to them. В I think more than anything it’s an honor to be banned for standing up for someone. Anyway, for those new to who I am, what I am about, where I come from, and what my story is. В This pretty well sums it up.
